Mamimi Tanaka is one of the idols that can be produced in THE IDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS. She is voiced by Chisa Suganuma. She is part of the quintet unit L'Antica, with Kogane Tsukioka, Sakuya Shirase, Yuika Mitsumine and Kiriko Yukoku.

Character Description[edit | edit source]

Mamimi is a girl who gives off a lazy and punkish vibe. She doesn't like to do things she finds troublesome and usually doesn't show enthusiasm for idol work. However she does care in her own way and will put in the effort she needs to. Mamimi is a member of the unit L'Antica and is in her third year of high school.

In the "Mawaru Haguruma, Unmei no Toki" event, Mamimi initially complains about the extra training needed to hold a live. Kogane scolds her, because wouldn't Mamimi want to hold a live too? The girls start running laps to train and Mamimi volunteers to stand at the starting line and count instead of run herself. Kogane eventually convinces her to run one lap. When the unit goes to karaoke, Yuika picks a song for Mamimi that she knows she likes, so Mamimi agrees to sing. But Mamimi's real participation in the event starts when the girls get their outfits for the live. The outfits aren't what they expected, and they decide to decorate the dresses so they feel personal and have that extra touch. Mamimi quickly leaves after that decision, saying she's going home. The other girls worry that Mamimi doesn't care about the unit or outfits, and Kiriko stays behind to ask Producer if they're pushing Mamimi into something she doesn't want. The next morning Kiriko asks Mamimi herself. Mamimi is surprised and says that she never said she wasn't interested, but thanks Kiriko for worrying about her and smiles. She gives Kiriko a pair of arm warmers to go with her stage outfit. She says they would fit the bandages Kiriko wears. Mamimi shows that she does pay attention and care about the others. It turns out that when Mamimi left the day before, she went shopping for decorations for the outfits (with Sakuya's help). Kogane apologizes for misjudging Mamimi and thinking she wasn't serious. Mamimi just says that she did it because if they didn't have costumes all their work before would go to waste. Mamimi helps everyone decorate their costumes. She picked out items for each member specifically, and knew them well enough for each outfit to end up a perfect match to the girl. Later Mamimi remarks that there's never a boring moment with L'Antica. After the live, Kogane thanks Mamimi for her hard work on the outfits and gives her a hug, but also reminds her to stop with her lazy habits.

She has two pets, a chameleon named 'Enzo' and a leopard gecko named 'Mondo'. Their cameos are in Mamimi S-R and Mamimi P-SR4.
In her P-SSR3 Mamimi card, it's revealed that she dyed her hair purple during middle school.
