Match Live is a game mode added in the January 10 2023 patch. The objective of this game mode is to go through different areas and defeat rival units.

Pictured above is the Match Live lobby. The left side is dominated by the area selection slider which lets you choose which area you want to enter. The buttons on the bottom center and bottom right sides are bonus, trophies, the match live point shop, missions, match live unit setup, upgrades and skip. On the upper right above Hazuki, the current end date of the Match Live season can be seen, as well as your current ranking for Match Live.

Setting Up Match Live Units[edit | edit source]

Pressing the Match Live units button will allow you to setup Match Live units. The process is similar to setting up units for fes and events. A key difference is that you can now setup an accompanying support card for your unit members. The support card must be of the same idol as the fes idol and each support card has it's own unique fight skill. These fight skills have special beneficial effects to the unit and can proc during the course of a match.

Each produce idol and its corresponding fes idol also has a set of traits called "aptitudes." These aptitudes affect how an idol performs in certain songs and can be beneficial or detrimental to the success of a match. There are three types of aptitude: Music Style, Performance, and Environment. Below are tables showing which aptitudes are available.

Positive Slow Pace Cloudy

Match Live Areas[edit | edit source]

As of the July 31 2023 patch, there are now eight areas with 3 stages per area, excluding Area EX which has 4 stages. The areas you can access are dependent on whether or not you cleared the previous area + the highest grade fes rank you have unlocked. Unlock requirements can be found in the table below:

Match Live Area Unlock Requirements
Area Requirements
Area 1 None; Unlocked from the start.
Area 2 Clear Area 1 + Reach at least grade fes rank 2
Area 3 Clear Area 2 + Reach at least grade fes rank 3
Area 4 Clear Area 3 + Reach at least grade fes rank 4
Area 5 Clear Area 4 + Reach at least grade fes rank 5
Area 6 Clear Area 5 + Reach at least grade fes rank 6
Area 7 Clear Area 6 + Reach at least grade fes rank 7
Area EX Clear Area 7 + Reach at least grade fes rank 7

You can visit an area by selecting the area on the left side of the lobby. On the stage select screen, you can choose which stage you would like to attempt to take. The rewards for each stage can be seen on the right side of the select screen, while stage info such as aptitudes and the song for the stage can be seen on the left. You can also access more info about each stage by clicking the button on the right part of each stage's reward info.

The pop-up window has three tabs showing the missions and gimmicks of the stage as well as the current environment condition, song and aptitude info as well as the melody line for that particular stage, and rival info. Each stage has its own missions to clear, rivals to challenge, aptitudes, and rewards in the form of glowsticks, letters and money. Clearing a stage's mission will earn you 40 feather jewels. As you progress through the stages and areas, the power of the rivals increases and the aptitude per stage changes.

Match Live resets every end of each month. Starting from July 31, 2023, every month there also will be certain aptitudes and attributes that will have bonuses. Certain stages will also have gimmicks such as opponents giving out buffs, mental damage dealt after certain number of turns, and others.
