Recommended WING Supports[edit | edit source]

A quick guide to using this list[edit | edit source]

If you want to find out how to use this guide to its fullest potential, then please refer to my WING support guide, which can be found here. There are no lb0 rating given for S-SRs because there is no reason to use a lb0 S-SR with beginner missions giving you 5 max limit break S-SRs right away.

As a quick rule of thumb, attackers are the most important, you ideally want 4 of your 5 chosen supports to be competent (A rank/2.5x or higher) attackers. You also want at least one Provider with a high multiplier appeal (at least 2.5x, preferably 3x or above) unlocked on their skill tree **in addition** to the generic 2.5x vocal/dance/visual appeal all support SSRs have. Supporters are less important, but having a support rr two that is really good in that category can greatly improve the overall consistency of your runs.

Visual A (A+) B- (A+) B+ (A+) Even though S-SSR3 Kiriko is a limited card, she is only as strong as more recent pernament support S-SSRs at best. Her main selling point is her Event Boost support skill, which doubles the chance of produce and support event commues occuring when maxed out. Her 4-star uncap appeal has a value of 2.7x at neutral atention, which is weaker than most perm and modern event support SSR appeals, and her gold passive is a strictly worse version of S-SSR2 Koito's. Finally, as an older support, she's stuck with a generic 2.5x appeal as an attacker. While she isn't necessarily a bad support option, she gets outclassed by modern pernament supports and definitely isn't worth spending Hazukis on.

Visual S (SS-) C+ (S+) A- (A+) S-SSR2 Mei is a support that holds up extremely well in WING. Her main selling point is her support appeal. While it only maxes at 3x, rather than 3.5x like some other limited supports, she makes up for it with an explosive bonus effect, a 25% buff to all stats. This effect is so strong that future limited supports that proivided stat buffs on their personal appeals had to be heavily nerfed compared to this Mei. She's pretty strong as a provider too thanks to her 3x appeal that provides a long-lasting buff for Vocal and Visual, her main drawback being that her passives require an active stat buff and only have a 10% activation rate, but they're extremely powerful if they do activate. As a supporter, she mostly provides Stamina support and lv5 Visual Mastery stamina, along with Visual Mastery Vi-Uncap. A very solid support overall.

Visual S- (SS-) A- (A+) S- (SSS) The Grade Fes revamp brings with it an exclusive S-SSR Fuyuko. While you only need 40 Fes points for her lb0, maxing her out will be a long-term project, requiring 6 months of floating G3 or 3 months of floating G4 to acquire to acquire the 700 fes points needed for her max lb. However, once you achieve this you will find yourself with a support pretty much tailor-made to be absolutely amazing in WING. Firstly, unlike scenario event S-SSRs, her personal appeal scaling starts a 3x and goes up to 3.5x, matching limited gacha supports, albeit with a lower base stat to back the appeal up with. She also has a strong skill tree with barely where pretty much every panel besides the positional bonus has a use in WING, with her uncap appeal (unlocked at 3 stars instead of the usual 4) being a 2.8x appeal with a 25% buff for 3 turns. However, the main selling point of this Fuyuko is definitely her support skills, as she boasts not only lv5 Audition Mastery Mental, but also lv10 Audition Mastery SP, making her the first-ever support to have multiple audition masteries. The value of this on its own is high enough to make her desirable not only for mono-visual, but also hybrid vocal-visual teams using Agenda 283 Mano, especially if you can stack her audition mastery Me with Flower Meguru's for 11 mental every audition. Being the hardest-hitting welfare support in the game on top of that is the icing on the cake

B B+ S The main reason to use this Mano in WING runs is for her Audition Mastery SP. If you have planned well, you should already have enough SP to buy your core skills before you even start your first audition, but this Mano still helps a lot if you want to unlock an uncap or two in a mono stat run, which can be valuable for a stat that relies heavily on brute force in later auditions.

A- (A) C (S) B (A-) Mano's original S-SSR isn't anything outstanding, but still performs solidly enough across the board when max limit broken. By far her strongest point is her skill tree, providing a decent tricolor buff and buffing support appeal for your produce idol when maxed out. However, even then, the permanent Juri and Natsuha supports will perform better. Having said that, this Mano has no real weaknesses besides the existence of the other three Mano supports who all offer something that this Mano lacks.

2020/10/12
A- (S) B (A-) C+ (B+) This Mano is better suited for Vocal+Dance dual stat builds, but offers enough as an attacker to recommend on a mono vocal team too. Her main advantage over Hajimari no Epilogue, the other major attacker Mano Vocal has access to, is that her support appeal has a dance component to it, allowing you to hit key judges for more appeal, most notably the Da 1st judge in WING semifinals and the 200k auditon, along with Da 2nd judge in the 300k audition.
CardIcon-2040030060.png Happy Valentine? Permanent Gacha
2021/02/10
A (A+) B+ (S-) B+ (A+) With a kit focusing heavily on Illumination Stars synergy, Valentine's Meguru becomes an SS-tier supporter if you are running a Mano or Hiori produce card, and a S+ tier provider if you have all three on your support lineup (though there is no good permanent Vocal Hiori support yet). Even without the other Illumination Stars, Valentine's Meguru is still a rock-solid overall choice to bring onto your vocal WING team, with a good skill tree even at lb0, good commues and Vocal Mastery SP. Her support appeal is weaker than a lot of more modern supports but is offset somewhat by having a buffing component to it to make later appeals hit harder.

A (A) C (S-) A (S) The main value in this Kogane is as a supporter. She has Radio Mastery Vocal lv10 at lv55 which upgrades to lv16 at lv75, which is really nice when you will be spending most of your first two seasons in the radio room. Besides that, there isn't really anything remarkable about her, though you can use her as a provider to decent effect if this is the only 3x Vocal appeal (besides Snow Girls Kaho) that you have access to.
CardIcon-2040080010.png Kirikiri Kitan Permanent Gacha
2018/09/30
A (A) C (S-) B+(A+) Much like S-SSR2 Kogane, this Kiriko is mostly a supporter/backup attacker who can be used as provider at lb4 if you lack a stronger 3x appeal. Unlike Kogane, Kiriko's main selling point is her lv7 Stamina Support since she has a generic Vocal Mastery Vo instead of the Radio Mastery Kogane has.
CardIcon-2030090010.png Houkago Snow Girls! Permanent Gacha
2018/12/21
Hazuki's Beginner Missions
(B+) (A) (A+) Snow Girls Kaho is a surprisingly good supporter who can also function as a powerful, but extremely high-risk provider. Her strong points are Vocal Mastery SP, +40 Vocal spread over two commues, a 40% Vocal passive and a 3.5x multiplier 4-star appeal. However, both the passive and the skill come with Mental Damage UP, putting you at a very real risk of retiring from a key audition if used carelessly. As with all older S-SRs,try and avoid using her support appeal if possible.

2018/04/24
Hazuki's Beginner Missions
(B) (A+) (C+) Chiyoko's Vocal S-SR is mostly a lower-risk dedicated provider for early-game, giving a 40% Vocal buff with the somewhat less risky Attention UP caveat, and a buffing 2.5x appeal with no drawback. However, with 0 Vocal on her commues, a mediocre Vocal Mastery and a lacking support appeal, you will want to replace her with Hajimari no Epilogue Mano, who is equally good as a provider while also being significantly better as an attacker and supporter, ASAP.
CardIcon-2040110010.png Michinaru FROZEN Permanent Gacha
2018/07/31
A (A) C (S+) B (B) Ice Cream Juri's main draw is to use as a provider when max limit broken. She's similar to S-SSR1 Mano, but her buff is stronger and her passive a 60% buff to vocal instead of a 20% buff to all. However, she loses ground as a supporter when compared to Mano and the Vocal L'Antica S-SSRs, due to Tension Mastery not really being a thing you can rely on in a WING run. Her commues are passable, though.
CardIcon-2040120020.png Rinze Yuumachi Monogatari Permanent Gacha
2019/02/18
A (A+) C (B) S (SS) Not only does Window Rinze have the strongest Audition Mastery in the entire game, but she also has Radio Mastery Stamina, which basically makes the all-important radio room cost almost no stamina to use whenever she is there. And to make thing even better, she has the same appeal power as the other Rinze S-SSRs, making her a solid pick for the attacker role too. This S-SSR, along with the one immediately below her, are the ones that really allow a mono Vo build to shine for reliable True Ends.

Hazuki's Beginner Missions
(B) (A) (S-) The early-game budget version of Natsuha's Vocal S-SSR. Her appeal carries less much risk than Snow Kaho's if you know the AI patterns well enough for the interest up portion of the skill to not be abused by them, but is also a lower base multiplier (3x instead of 3.5x) and her gold passive activates later in the audition, which is generally less useful. Also, like her SSR version, she has Radio Mastery SP, which even with the lower value is still one of the best supports a WING support can have.
CardIcon-2040130040.png GEKKAN CLIMAX Permanent Gacha
2019/04/12
A (A) C (SS) A+ (S+) At max limit break, Gekkan Climax Natsuha is the best provider in Vocal's permanent support selection bar none due to having the only permanently-available 3.5x appeal without drawbacks as well as the same gold passive as Ice Cream Juri. While this alone makes her a top recommendation, she also happens to be one of the best supporters in the attribute with strong commues and access to lv16 Radio Mastery SP, making the Mental-SP balancing act in the early seasons that much easier.
CardIcon-2040140030.png Okashi na Teatime Permanent Gacha
2019/01/31
C (C+) C (S) A+ (S+) Sweets Amana has an off-attribute appeal with some niche utility if your mental is lacking, though that utility is put to better use in GRAD as opposed to WING, making her a less-than-ideal attacker. However, she makes up for it with her support and provider capabilities. Her biggest draw is her combination of Vocal Mastery Stamina and Vocal Mastery SP, making the vocal room free while you also gain 16 SP for training there, a trait that's combine with solid commue stat gains to make for a compelling support package. However, Sweets Amana is also a deceptively good provider, with a solid 1-star passive that can activate Turn 1 (though you will probably never see it if it fails to activate at the start) and a no-drawback 3x appeal.

(B) (A-) (A-) Angel Tenka is a S-SR that performs decently well both as a provider and as a supporter in the early stages of an account, with good commues, a no-drawback passive that can activate turn 1 and a no-drawback 2.5x appeal, offering just enough to be kept around for a little while.

Petit selection ticket (5)
A- (S-) C (A-) A- (A) Straylight.Run Mei is currently the best S-SSR purchasable with Petit tickets that allows for the usage of S-SR3 Mano on your setup. Her mix of lv8 Vocal Mastery Vo and lv4 Stamina support would go on to be the standard that most event S-SSRs that came after her would have, and honestly work pretty well in a WING context. Her passives are unlikely to activate, but her skill is pretty good for the early game, being a 2.5x appeal with a long lasting buff that may activate that gold passive of hers.
CardIcon-2030200020.png faaaar Permanent Gacha
2021/02/19
(A) (A) (A) A serious contender for best general-use permanent S-SR available for Vocal alongside Kaho and Natsuha, Faaaar Toru really doesn't have any notable weaknesses, performing relatively well as an attacker with her scaling appeal, having a decent mastery and good commues, and a pretty strong skill tree to invest into. Consider her if you manage to find a bunch of copies of her in your early pulls.
CardIcon-2040200010.png How Are UFO Permanent Gacha
2020/08/21
A (S) B-(S) B+(A+) As with Natsuha, a strong SR comes with an even better SSR. Unlike Natsuha, UFO Toru trades potential as a provider (though she's still a really strong contender in this regard) to gain serious credentials as a top attacker among permanent vocal supports with her scaling appeal. As a support, Toru has great commues, a decent enough Vocal Mastery and a Perfect Mastery that isn't likely to be relevant in WING, but is a nice bonus when it does activate.

B+ (A) C+ (B) B (A) On the Dance side, Dual stat Mano loses attacker potential due to her low multiplier on the Dance portion of her skill, but gains credentials as a secondary provider with a potent dual stat appeal blocked only by a Dance Appeal IV you would be purchasing anyway. The order of her commue stat gains also makes her a better supporter in dance than she is in vocal.

2019/06/20
A (A) C+ (S-) B (A) Yukata Hiori is often overlooked because of Cinderella Hiori's existence, but this really shouldn't be the case, as while Cinderella Hiori is the (slightly) better supporter, this Hiori is a great provider with two strong passives and a powerful, but somewhat difficult-to-use appeal available to her. She can also function as an attacker at a push, which Cinderella Hiori really can't.
CardIcon-2040030010.png Starlight Showtime Permanent Gacha
2018/05/10
A (A) C+ (S-) B (B+) Stargazing Meguru can be used as a provider at a push if she is the only 3x appeal available to you, especially since it has a small buff attached to sweeten the deal. However, she is pretty average in all other aspects as far as gacha SSRs go. Considering she is one of the oldest support SSRs in the pool, she has aged pretty well, all things considered.
CardIcon-2040030050.png Up to You Permanent Gacha
2020/09/11
A- (S) B (A-) B- (A) Billboard Meguru is the Dance+Visual version of the dual stat Mano. Unlike Mano, Dance is her primary attacking stat with the higher multiplier appeal attached to it, and her commues are a lot better for a Da team then Mano's are from a Vo perspective. Other than that, every strength and weakness that applies to Mano also applies to this Meguru.
CardIcon-2040040040.png Natsu, Doganne~? Permanent Gacha
2019/07/10
A (A) C (S-) A (S) This Kogane can pretty much be treated as a Dance version of the Kogane in the Vocal recommendations page. Talk Mastery Me is an interesting Mastery since it lets you build mental while also increasing SP and dance. Besides that, she's basically an attribute flip of the Vocal Kog.
CardIcon-2040050030.png Yoruyonaka Wanderlust Permanent Gacha
2019/02/28
A (A+) B (A) A (S) Wanderlust Mamimi is a very interesting support with a lot going on that ultimately makes her a jack of all trades, master of none in a WING context (she's significantly more valuable than a mere jack of all trades in Grade Fes). Her base dance is stronger than average, so she hits harder than most other dance supports that lack a scaling appeal. Her skill tree has Dance Appeal III as well as Dance appeal IV, and has an extremely powerful 100% dance buff passive that ultimately activates too late to be relevant a lot of the time. Her 4-star appeal makes all other appeals that hit after it in that turn significantly weaker, so make sure you can survive the audition before using it, especially with the 100% attention up that her passive has. Fianlly Dance Mastery MEntal is nice for building extra mental in season 2 without sacrificing too much main stat.
CardIcon-2030070020.png Mellowbeat Slowdown Permanent Gacha
2018/08/20
Hazuki's Beginner Missions
(B+) (S+) (B+) By far the best dedicated provider support SR in the game for those just starting out. a 50% debuff to vocal and Visual is only a minor drawback to an extremely powerful 3.5x appeal that every produce idol you roll can access from Day 1 if you choose to start with the dance supports, which I highly recommend. Her gold passive is also extremely good, and her masteries and commues are perfectly fine. Finally, with 225 base dance at lv 70, she hits pretty hard for a 2x appeal support, but try not to rely on her appeal too much. That's why you run dedicated attackers in your support lineup, after all.
CardIcon-2040070010.png Toushindai no Rainy Day Permanent Gacha
2018/04/24
D (D+) C (S) B (A-) With an off-stat support appeal and an useless 2-star passive, Yuika's original perm S-SSR is basically only worth considering at max limit break for her 4x appeal with interest up. Interest up increases the damage all idols do to that judge, so it has to be used more carefully than Mellowbeat Slowdown but can be even more effective when used correctly.
CardIcon-2040070060.png Re-Reflection Permanent Gacha
2021/05/20
A (S) C+ (A+) A- (S) Yuika's newest S-SSR is extremely solid at higher limit breaks if you don't need Mellowbeat Yuika as a provider, acting as a Dance version of Cherry Jelly Amana. Her ability as a support gets boosted to borderline SS-tier when running a L'Antica Produce idol due to her Unit Mastery Mental, but she's still extremely solid even without being able to utilize it. However, she is pretty mediocre as a provider compared to Mellowbeat, or even her original S-SSR, having a slow-to-activate gold passive, and 4-star appeal that's only as strong as one you can find on a 2021-era event support.

A- (S-) C- (B-) B (A+) New Year's Kiriko is another event support with a generally solid overall package provided you're not relying on her skill tree. Her scaling appeal is slightly weaker than most event supports, but not to a significant degree, while her main standout point is the dance mastery stamina, which can give you free weeks in the dance room if she is in there.
CardIcon-2040080040.png Kiki Amaama Permanent Gacha
2020/02/12
A (S) B (SS) B+(A+) Valentine's Kiriko is what happens when you take the best aspects of Wonderland Kiriko and strengthen the weaker parts of her kit beyond recognition. At max limit break, this Kiriko has a 3x support appeal while also providing a 3.5x appeal with no real downside and a powerful 2-star passive, all packaged alongside Wonderland Kiriko's support skill set-up.
CardIcon-2040090040.png Natsuiro☆Afterschool Permanent Gacha
2020/06/19
A (S) B (A) B (A-) While Kaho doesn't shape up quite as well as other permament Support SSRs with scaling appeals, she's still a support with a 3x appeal at max lb, and the rest of her kit is still somewhat decent. Her 4-star appeal scales on attention UP, but will never be weaker than 2.5x. Due to limited access to attention UP in a WING setting, other appeal option will mostly likely end up being stronger if they're available.
CardIcon-2040100020.png Sakura Mochi Master……? Permanent Gacha
2018/06/20
A (A) C (S) A (S) Sakuramochi Master Chiyoko is a classic among dance supports. Even though she's pretty old, her combination of Radio Mastery Dance, Dance 60% up passive and a somewhat risky 4x appeal at max limit break means she has a lot going for her in terms of WING viability, Perfect Mastery is also a nice bonus if it activates in the correct room.

2020/04/10
A+ (S-) B (SS) B (A+) Another premier support pick for dance teams, Yoake Rinze adds a potent buffing component to the powerful appeal carried by her Vocal and Visual counterparts. Unlike her counterparts, however, she can also be used as a top provider with her buffing 3.5x appeal with no drawbacks. Her support skills are much better than the visual Park Rinze, but don't quite reach the heights of Window Rinze.

D (B-) C (SS-) B- (B+) Treadmill Natsuha is a release-day gacha S-SSR that can still hold some relevance in modern WING builds, though she faces stiff competition form 2020-era Kiriko, Rinze and Mei supports for the honor. Her gold passive and support skill layout look like something you would find on a modern event support, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing in the case of the former. Her main downfall compared to modern supports is her off-stat Vocal support appeal. If that was Dance, she would be much easier to recommend generally. She's still worth a look, though since her better commues and access to Dance Appeal IV make her an admittedly-minor upgrade from Mellowbeat Yuika.

A- (S-) B (S-) A+ (S+) Twinkle Twinkle Tenka is a must-own support for any mono-Da team due to her lv9 Audition Mastery Dance, which is maxed at lv 65 (lv1), making that the point where she can be reccomened universally. However, if you go all the way to mac lb, her scaling appeal and tricky-but-powerful max lb 3.5 appeal when hitting perfect judgement become additional factors that make her such a strong choice for a mono Da WING run.

(B) (A-) (B+) S-SR Asahi, like her event SSR is a Da version of an equivalent Vo Mei card. Unlike Mei, this Asahi is available from playing through the tutorial, and that makes her much easier to recommend to a beginner. While there's nothing especially outstanding about this Asahi, there's nothing especially terrible about her either, so she can fill a slot decently well until you are able to purchase Twinkle Twinkle Tenka.

Petit selection ticket (5)
A- (S-) B (A) B (A-) Event Asahi is basically the Da version of the event Mei and shares the same strength as weaknesses as that Mei does. The tl;dr is that she's pretty good, but the availability of alternatives such as Twinkle Twinkle Tenka and the availability of Asahi's S-SR from the tutorial makes her less valuable relative to the Mei.
CardIcon-2040170020.png Ame, Yuki, Hare Permanent Gacha
2020/01/20
A- (A) B (S-) A- (A+) Asahi's perm S-SSR is yet-again Da-focused. While she lacks the scaling personal appeal that her event SSR has (This Asahi is the last gacha SSR to be released without a scaling appeal), she makes up for it with her buffing 3x max lb appeal and some pretty solid masteries when she's in the Dance room. While better options exist from a WING context such as Twinkle Twinkle Tenka and Sakuramochi Master Chiyko, this Asahi is still a rock-solid support overall.
CardIcon-2040190030.png Enjoy! Party Permanent Gacha

2020/12/23

A- (S) B (SS+) B+ (A+) Enjoy! Party Mei is basically what Mellowbeat Yuika would look like if she was reprinted as a recent permanent support S-SSR. Unlike early 2021 supports such as S-SSR2 Koito, Mei doesn't have too much compelling going on at limit break 0 though she can still perform somewhat decently. However, once she's max limit break, you gain access to not only the strongest provider for mono stat runs in the entire game, but also a potent attacker and solid supporter that can provide critical SP and stamina boosts needed to hit key thresholds on time.

A- (A) b- (SS-) B+ (A) Out of all of the launch-day S-SSRs, Sakuya has probably aged the best out of all of them. With the sole exception of her gold passive, every aspect of Sakuya's kit is perfectly usable, even in today's WING runs. Of special note is her no-drawback 3.5x Visual appeal, with S-SSR4 Juri being the only other visual support to provide one. This 4-star appeal is the main reason a new player may want to consider spending shard tickets to speed up her limit breaks, but I would suggest waiting until she hits 2 stars before considering this option seriously.

A- (A-) b- (S+) C+ (C+) Like Sakuya, S-SSR1 Kaho is also a launch day visual support. While she is lackluster both as both an attacker and as a supporter for a gacha SSR, she makes up for it with her prowess as a provider, only being marginally weaker than the much more recent S-SSR1 Mikoto in both of these aspects. Her qualities as a procide make her another solid candidate to spend your shard tickets on. Despite this, I can only recommend spending your tickets in this way if she is at least 2-stars and you lack access to a 2-star S-SSR1 Sakuya.

A+ (S+) A- (S) B+ (A+) The strongest dedicated attacker currently available permanently once maxed. Koito's first permanent S-SSR performs well even at lb0, hitting harder than most older gacha SSR supports do at max limit break, and with reasonably accessible +25 uncap and 20% Visual buff with 20% activation rate that works when all three judges are around. Limit breaks give you access to a powerful Visual 50% passive that can activate at any point (20% activation rate) and a 3x appeal that combine power with the small boost in survivability provided by the attention down buff they provide

A- (S) A- (S-) A- (S-) S-SSR2 Hinana is pretty similar to S-SSR2 Koito in terms of the utility, but is slightly more suited to Fes usage at expense of some of her WING ability. Visual Mastery SP is better than Visual Mastery Vi, but her raw visual stat is noricably lower, though still than more than good enough for most runs, while her gold passive won't activate at all all unless you take her (or S-SSR3 Madoka's) 4-star appeal, making her less ideal as a provider, but is still ultimately stronger than most older Visual support SSRs.

A+ (S) A- (S+) B+ (S-) S-SSR1 Mikoto is an incredibly powerful and useful card all around, especially when max limit broken to unlock her full potential as a provider. The most notable thing about this support is probably her gold passive, which provides a 60% buff if you run idols from three different units, which is trivally easy to build around in a WING set-up. Even if you are running a Nichika Produce card with a full Illumination Stars support line-up, all it takes is to simply run Mikoto as guest and placing a different idol in the final attacking support slot in order to satisfy the passive's requirement. Besides this, she provides a buffing 3x appeal to your P idol. She also has great commues, solid masteries and is a good choice attacker in addition to all of her traits as a provider. Highly recommended for mono-vi runs.
