Character Description[edit | edit source]

An earnest and dedicated beauty who often neglects her daily life like eating and sleeping. She has had experience as an idol in a former agency, and loves "idols" much more than anyone else.

She moved to Tokyo from Hokkaido at age 14 in order to pursue singing, and joined another office as a trainee. There, she fell in love with the concept of idols, and decided to become one. She worked extremely hard, to the point she says she "barely has memories of high school, just being in the lesson room", but she was unable to succeed beyond some slight success. Eventually she transferred in order to become her ideal idol. She's calm and collected but has intense feelings towards being an idol, and is an extreme workaholic, often practicing until dawn.

She can be seen as a foil to unitmate Nichika. While Nichika by her own admission has no singing or dancing talent yet has the qualities to become an idol, Mikoto is acknowledged in-universe to be very talented but doesn't see herself as possessing the qualities of an idol.

Mikoto is currently the oldest idol in Shiny Colors.
She doesn't have much confidence in cooking.
According to her, she hasn't returned to Hokkaido since she left a decade ago. She says she'll return to see her family once she becomes a successful idol.
Mikoto is currently the only Shiny Colors idol to have previously been an idol before auditioning for 283pro.
- She originally was part of a two-member unit alongside Luca Ikaruga before a falling out occurred. She is also the first idol to transfer from another production in Shiny Colors.
